Leading acoustic systems

We have developed a comprehensive range of high-quality acoustic systems as well as decoupling products. These provide the perfect solution to the specific requirements of a range of floor coverings. They also meet current technical demands and have been adapted to satisfy our partners’ ambitious goals.

Only an individualised product concept can guarantee a reliable performance promise for your floor covering. Maximum product performance, sustainable product life cycles and the best possible acoustic optimisation are vital points of focus for us.

Find out more about the following product groups.

Acoustic systems for laminate and parquet

Acoustic systems for laminate, parquet and other hard floor coverings have special requirements. Reducing the noise from both impact and footfall are particularly important here.

These requirements vary depending on how the flooring is installed (e.g. floating or glued) and must be adapted to a sustainable product solution depending on the intended use. We have developed a product portfolio, based on polyurethane, for this area of application, which can be adapted to your requirements and needs in almost every respect.

Acoustic systems for design / polyurethane flooring

Acoustic systems for LVT design and polyurethane floorings (e.g. multi-layer floorings) are subject to special minimum levels of technical requirements. These differ significantly from comparable standard laminate and parquet floorings. In these product groups, the main points of emphasis should be the residual point-load behaviour, the permanent pressure stability (static and dynamic), and the impact sound reduction of the overall installation.

We have an established presence in the market and are continuously updating and developing our product range which means we are able to provide acoustic systems for a wide range of these types of flooring. This includes product solutions for classic LVT dry back and LVT click-in systems as well as loose-lay to multi-faceted, multi-layer floorings.

The following options are available.

  • Densities of 1,000 kg/m³ to 3,500 kg/m³
  • Thicknesses of 1.10 mm to 2.00 mm
  • Residual point-load behaviour < 0.10 mm
  • Pressure stability over 1,000 kPa (> 100 t/m²)

  • Permanent reduction of footfall sound levels of up to 22 %
  • Thermal resistances from 0.01 m² K / W
  • Optional anti-slip or self-adhesive designs
  • Fire classification (without top layer) up to Bfl-s1
  • Excellent compensation of unevenness
  • Creates optimum home comfort

Acoustic systems for textile floorings

As versatile as textile floor coverings and carpet systems can be, so diverse are the possibilities for individualised acoustic systems and installation underlays. Furthermore, application areas range from ‘residential’ to ‘commercial’ and often have special requirements.

Over recent years, Windmöller GmbH has succeeded in developing solutions that can be used in a wide range of applications. The primary focus is on fixing flooring solutions to prevent slippage, and avoid accidents, enabling exceptional impact noise reduction, and optimum walking comfort. Of course, fire classifications, chair castor suitability and environmental compatibility were also carefully examined and tested.

Our unique product characteristics speak for themselves.

Acoustic systems for ceramic floorings

Permanent noise has a direct impact on health and causes internal stress. One aspect of this is impact sound levels, particularly with ceramic flooring. Full-surface gluing of ceramic floorings to the base layer is an exceptional way of reducing noise. However, the impact is transmitted directly to the rooms below.

. In addition to the main task of improving the acoustic impact sound, a permanently intact bond must be created that can achieve sustainable pressure stability as well as a surface that remains intact without any problems. These additional, physical decoupling characteristics are achieved through the top-quality processing of carefully selected raw materials. . Only a permanently functioning system can guarantee absolute customer satisfaction.
